So then, Tuesday & Wednesday it was time for the real reason I went to Italy in the first place, the Youth Forum organised by AESI and EUCA. I was invited by the president of the latter, a friend again from 2003, Gian Luca Giovanucci. The president of the former, mr. Massimo Caneva is seated here in the middle with some other representatives in the introductory session.
And here are the students from the various EU countries, listening attentively…
our Estonian brothers being in the front row… Tere tere!
One of the most impressive things was the presence of the rectors of the Hebrew and Palestinian universities of Jerusalem. I made friends with them both and got invited to Jerusalem. Here we are.
After the long day we got to enjoy a beautiful concert at Villa Giulia…
After the concert and a wonderful dinner we had some fun with the Dutch and English delegations, singing all kinds of songs from the Sound of Music to Neapolitan songs, from Taizé to Dutch songs. On the 25th our official sessions ended after lunch and we headed to see some more sights together with a Latin speaking girl from the Swedish group (I learned that puer in Swedish Latin – in Finnish transliteration – is [phyyär]) and the Englishmen. We visited the Scala Santa and St. John Lateran, some also the Holy Cross Church (I went to the Pauline bookshop instead:).
Onneksi Saksa voitti. En juonut niin paljon kuin alla oleva kuva antaa ymmärtää (1 olut ja pikkusen punaviiniä oikeesti, + pieni maistiainen puolalaisen myöhemmin tarjoamaa — jotain;). Just sillee sopivasti/maksimisti. Vado al MASSIMO. Another insider;D
Bravo Emil, ben fatto.
Gian Luca
Brilliant!
